This tour visits the seven monument zones that together form the Kathmandu Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the densest concentrations of living cultural heritage in Asia. Over two to three days you explore the three royal Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur with their pagoda temples and palace courtyards, the great Buddhist stupas of Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple) and Boudhanath, the sacred Hindu cremation complex of Pashupatinath on the Bagmati, and the hilltop temple of Changu Narayan. Knowledgeable cultural guides bring alive the Newar art, architecture and craft traditions of the valley.
